The girls rock the Olympics closing ceremony.
Spice Girls buddies Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisolm will release a cover of “I Know Him So Well” on November 11th.  Originally sung in 1984 by Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson, the single will appear on Mel C’s latest album, Stages.

Chisolm told Digital Spy that she was quite nervous about asking Baby Spice to lend her vocals.

“I wasn’t sure she would do it but when I asked her she squealed!  It was so emotional when we first heard our voices together again. It’s so Spice Girls. I’m so excited for people to hear it.”

Today the mums promoted their duet at ITV studios in London, and I’m loving their Twitter hashtag, #sportyandbaby.

Now, there is a rumor floating around England that the Spice Girls may get together to perform on opening night (December 11th) of Viva Forever, the musical written by Jennifer Saunders.  Melanie C said that she “laughed and cried” when she first saw the show, according to the Metro.

“It was better than we ever could have hoped for,” Chisolm said.  “Obviously there’s interest because it’s the Spice Girls, but there is genuinely a brilliant story to back it up.”
