It’s a box office battle, Socialite Life movie lovers. We’ve got a competition going for the action movie and romance categories. Weigh-in and make their millions grow!

Let the testosterone battle begin! This week’s contender: Robin Hood starring the talented, Russell Crowe. The historical movie is hoping to boot Iron Man 2 from box office #1, but I’m thinking it’s going to have a tough battle ahead.

Rated PG-13, this will not be Gladiator in Sherwood Forest (same director, Ridley Scott). I’m a bit disappointed, considering Crowe’s violent tendencies.

Still, Crowe claims to be the best Robin Hood yet, “because, unlike some other Robin Hoods, [he] can speak with an English
accent,” Cary Elwes, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, my personal fav. FYI Crowe is also the oldest to portray Robin Hood at 45.

Battling over the romance genre are Letters to Juliet and Just Wright. Judging from their stats, I’m going to have to agree Letters to Juliet will dominate begging the question, “What if you had a second chance to find true love?”

Although appealing to difference audiences, unfortunately Queen Latifah will fall short to Hollywood royalty Vanessa Redgrave and vagina-nicknaming, Amanda Seyfried.
