Mark Wahlberg Talks Boston Bombings, Just Wanted To Hug His Kids

It’s got to be a terrifying thing to watch your hometown become a disaster zone, and that’s exactly what Mark Wahlberg had to see on Monday,

The native Bostonian is currently on his promotional for the upcoming movie Pain & Gain, but he made sure to take time and talk about the Boston bombings. The actor spoke about the tragedy last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Mark told Jimmy, “I just wanted to rush home today and hug my kids. It’s a crazy world we’re living in. It’s horrible. It’s horrible, man.” Mark, a father of four, also gave a shout out to all the families affected by the bombings in Boston and asked the public to pray for them.

“I just ask everyone to please pray for all the people in Boston and their families, and especially the Richards family.” The Richards family lost their 8-year-old son, Martin, in the explosion. Lucky for Mark, none of his family was injured. “Everybody’s okay, but we have some people that we know that were affected by it.”

All this Boston stuff must be why Mark isn’t smiling at the red carpet screening of Pain & Gain. Cause every time I’ve seen Mark before this, he’s a bundle of laughs. What do you think of Mark’s comments? Find them as classy as we do? Check out the photos in the gallery and let us know in the comments.
