Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon’s Twins Experienced A Musical Birth
Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey keep outdoing themselves. Cannon went on the OWN Network’s The Gayle King Show (airing Friday) to tell Oprah’s bestie alllll about the arrival of Moroccan Scott and Monroe. Brace yourself, partner, ’cause this silly bit of news will you have scratching your head.
According to Us Magazine, the twins popped out to Carey’s live performance “Fantasy” at Madison Square Garden. Cannon told King,
“Now my wife wanted to make sure that when the babies came out, that they came out not only to a Mariah Carey song, but a live performance from Mariah Carey — her Madison Square performance of ‘Fantasy’ — so they came out to a round of applause.”
Forgetting for a moment that what you read is just shy of insane, “Fantasy” would not be my first pick for a labor serenade. Top choices would instead be: “Hero,” “All I Want For Christmas (In Late April) Is You,” “Emotions” or “Make It Happen.” But “Fantasy?” Hell To The No!
Asked if he minds being referred to as Mr. Mariah Carey, Cannon admitted that at times it can get to him. But at the end of the day, Cannon gets to share his crazy with the eccentric songstress: “When I step back and look at my life as a whole, I could be called a lot of worse things than Mr. Mariah Carey.”
