Stone paired the drop-waist dress with heels by Christian Louboutin and earrings by Van Cleef & Arpels. While I think I actually like the dress, the choice of brown seems surprising coming from the young actress notorious for playing with color. Stone opted for an entirely neutral palette, sporting hardly any lip color and relatively muted accessories.
I love the volume of the drop-waist skirt juxtaposed with the simple boat-neck of the long-sleeved bodice, but the look could have been greatly improved by the addition of a statement necklace. In fact that idea stems from the conception of the dress itself, as it was paired with a giant geometric necklace on the runway for Rochas’s Fall 2012 collection shown at Paris Fashion Week back in February.
