Apparently designers will now use any celebrity to front their campaigns, without any thought to who their client demographic is. The Ferre label signs up Julia Roberts for their lastest campaign. Not quite as off as Lindsay Lohan, but I have to say, I’m starting to miss the supermodels.
Lohan was chosen and will star in the label’s next ad campaign. According to Contact Music, Lohan has already done a photoshoot with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld.
She said, “I’m shooting with Karl Lagerfeld! It’s amazing. I’m so excited. I think it’s for a magazine.”
Meanwhile, Lohan’s redheaded predecessor Julia Roberts has signed on to be a spokesmodel for Gianfranco Ferre’s new promotional campaign.
Ferre explained why he chose Roberts as his muse to Fashion Wire Daily. “In the now so multifaceted realm of glamour and allure, both as a woman and as a personality Julia Roberts in my eyes reflects a total affinity with this ideal of mine,” he said.
Gianfranco Ferre needs to get his eyes checked.
