After posing with Victoria Gotti at an April 12th press conference for Gotti: Three Generations, producer Marc Fiore has announced that Lindsay Lohan will not be part of the movie. Fiore told People Magazine, “We are not talking any further about Lindsay playing Victoria. She is no longer being considered. The talks have stopped. We are going to meet with other people [for the role].”
Fiore did not state a reason why they decided not to cast Lohan to play Victoria, but he did stress that it had nothing to do with her legal woes. “We just couldn’t reach terms,” Fiore vaguely explained.
One person who will be bummed about this news is John Travolta, who had nothing but praise for Lohan, who smiled for the camera at the Coachella Music Festival Sunday in Indio, CA. “I always thought she was gorgeous and talented,” he has said.
Also out is director Nick Cassavetes, who had to part ways with the film because funding came in for another project, Yellow. No worries, says Fiore, who claims to have “a million phone calls from directors.”
UPDATE: TMZ confirms that Lindsay Lohan is back on for Gotti: Three Generations. She will reportedly play John Gotti Jr.’s daughter-in-law, Kim. Apparently Lohan had to step in and work with Fiore after her management team proved to be difficult during negotiations.
