J. Edgar opened the AFI Film Festival at Grauman’s Chinese Theater November 3rd with a bang, drumming up Oscar buzz for Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays infamous FBI director J. Edgar Hoover.
The afterparty, held at the nearby Hollywood Roosevelt, drew some of the industry’s top dogs, including Clint Eastwood (who directed the film), Ron Howard, Harvey Weinstein, and Christie Cashman. The New York Post reports that Lindsay Lohan, fresh from her Playboy shoot (makeup and all), managed to argue her way into the invite-only party by fighting with security guards.
A source at the party told the Post, “Lindsay was arguing with the security to let her in, dropping every celebrity’s name to get in. She could be heard saying, ‘I have to go and see Leo.’ Eventually they let her in, but she made everybody uncomfortable. She was aggressive and random, storming around. She tried to get to Leo, but he was surrounded by his security and a posse of his friends.”
Rather than blending in with the crowd after making a total scene, Lohan took her crazy train even further. “Clint and Leo and Dustin Lance Black were talking,” the source said. “And Lindsay sent one of her aides over, demanding to get a photo with them, but security shooed them away.” Listen, sister’s going to jail next Wednesday. She’s going to need a framed photo of Jack Dawson to tape to her cell block.
Oooooofffffff course, Lohan’s rep denied the story, giving the following statement to the Post: “She did not crash, she was invited by a guest who attended the event. I am not aware of her asking for photos with Leo or Clint. She was never asked to leave.”
