Last night at the AFI Fest premiere of Ginger & Rosa, Christina Hendricks hit her “full figure” limit. While answering questions on the red carpet in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater, an Australian reporter asked the Mad Men star about her shape.
Hendrick’s publicist stepped in and asked the journalist to rephrase the question. E! Online reports (via Daily Mail) that Hendricks later said off-camera, “I think calling me full-figured is just rude.”
I agree. At some point the so-called “celebration of curves” gets old, and pinning those hopes and dreams on one woman can take its toll.
Love the hair, by the way.
Meanwhile, the teenage dreams waltzed down the red carpet in their tres-hip maxi dresses. Elle Fanning wore a floor-length striped number by Oscar de La Renta, according to My Fashion Life (damn it, that man knows how to make a gown).
