The cast of Quentin Tarantino‘s new film Django Unchained was revealed during the Comic-Con International panel this past weekend.
The cast stars Jamie Foxx as a slave during the pre-Civil War years who joins Inglorious Bastard returner Christoph Waltz as Dr. King Schultz, a German bounty hunter. The two set out to rescue Django’s (Foxx) wife who is played by the beautiful Kerry Washington from Deep South’s plantation owner Calvin Candie AKA Leonardo DiCaprio.
Yes. THE Leonardo DiCaprio.
Leo will be playing a heartless plantation owner and hopelessly in love party-goer come Christmas Day, when Django Unchained and The Great Gatsby are both said to open in theaters. Both characters ridiculously wealthy, but that’s pretty much the only common denominator.
The notorious director, Tarantino, expressed his excitement for the new film in the panel. He has been thinking about doing a Western film for about 13 years.
Jonah Hill will also be featured in the film as a member of a pre-KKK group who victimizes the slaves. Tarantino admitted that this is probably one of the funniest scenes he has ever done. So mentally prepare your minds to be blown.
Still need convincing? View the trailer below. And to my fellow Tarantino fans or my Leo-loving-girls, just sit back and enjoy. Launch the gallery to see more Leonardo DiCaprio, and check out some of this best quotes, because I know we could all use some fantasizing relief this ridiculously long Monday.
