Despite Star Magazine and Radar Online’s reveal last week that her estranged father passed away, Jessica Chastain walked the red carpet at last night’s Writers Guild Awards in Los Angeles.
While that was happening at the JW Marriott in downtown Los Angeles, Lena Dunham and other east coasters celebrated in New York at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill.
Chastain, who wore Dior with Harry Winston jewels and Jimmy Choos, celebrated a win for Zero Dark Thirty; writer Mark Boal took home Best Original Screenplay for the Bin Laden manhunt flick.
A Reed Krakoff-clad Dunham won Best New Series for HBO’s Girls. According to the Daily Mail, the show has been renewed for a third season.
Amy Poehler wore Herve Leroux with Charlotte Olympia shoes, while her boy Ben Affleck (well, writer Chris Terrio) scored a Best Adapted Screenplay for Argo-f***yourself.
