Lea Michelle Excited About ‘Glee’ Grammy Nominations

Lea Michele could not be more thrilled about Glee’s two Grammy Award nominations for the cast CD. The Glee kids were obviously nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media — but also for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals for their cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

“I’m so happy, especially that it’s for ‘Don’t Stop Believin’,’ which is for the whole cast, so that we all get to go,” she said, pictured today at the Billboard Women in Music Awards in NYC, where she was honored as a Triple Threat. “That’s just awesome.”

However the show’s star, who looked stylish as ever in a cream-colored frock, was completely in the dark about the nominations until just moments before tonight’s event! Watch the video after the jump.

“I had to turn my phone off last night when we were taking of to come to New York, so up until the last minute I was texting my castmembers like, ‘What’s going on?’ And then when I landed, I had, like, four from all of them like, ‘We got nominated!’ “

So how do we go about wrangling Glee some Oscars now?
