Lea Michele Talks About Cory Monteith & The Emotional ‘Glee’ Tribute Episode

Lea Is Emotional At 2013 TCA

Well folks, slowly but surely Lea Michele seems to be moving on from Cory Monteith’s death.

The Glee actress spoke out about for the first time this week about Cory in an interview with TV Week Australia. “I feel like, for me personally, I’ve lost two people: Cory and Finn.”

Lots of people wondered how Lea was able to go back to work on Glee following Cory’s passing, but Lea’s logic was very simple. “Everyone is asking: ‘Is it hard to do this? Is it hard to be back at work?,’ but the truth is it’s no harder at work than it is in life so we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together.”

Well, she definitely has a point there. But just because she’s feeling better about working, doesn’t mean she’s definitely going to watch the tribute episode to Cory airing Thursday night. Lots of it just hit too close to home. Like when in the episode, Lea’s Rachel is given a plaque about Finn–a plaque similar to one Cory brought home from the set this summer.

“He said, ‘This summer we are going to take it all over everywhere we go and take pictures of us with this plaque!’ and that’s what we did. Then I got the script and thought it was so unbelievable that they chose to do that in the episode. So, for me, there are a lot of little things that are so special; everything means a lot to me.”

But thankfully Lea seems to be leaving the mourning stage. An insider told Us Weekly that Lea was overheard talking about a cute boy at a recent party. “She was excited he was coming,” the source revealed. So are you guys excited about Thursday night’s episode? Think there will be too many tears? Sound off in the comments!
