Lauren Conrad: ‘The Hills’ Movie “Is Not For Me”
When Audrina Patridge opened her big mouth on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show last week, the interweb went batty with the possibility of The Hills becoming a movie. After having a good laugh over the thought of such a crap series moving to the big screen (22 minutes is enough, thanks), we looked into who else was fired up over this asinine idea. Thankfully, Lauren Conrad has no interest in reprising her “role.” For that, we give her 100000000 gold stars.
Conrad told Life & Style at the Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet Shoe Launch Party at Palihouse Holloway on August 1oth in West Hollywood that she was going to skip the whole thing. “The Hills was great for me, but I decided to leave it, so that’s something that’s behind me,” the designer said. “It’s not for me.”
Even though Patridge talked about it and Whitney Port said she’d be up for a film version, Conrad has yet to hear anything official on the potential project. “I heard about that years ago, and then I read about that somewhere again recently. I was like, ‘What Hills movie?’ No one has asked me to be in a Hills movie and I don’t really know much about it.”
“It’s supposed to be reality TV, so I don’t think there would be a script,” Conrad continued. “It’s supposed to come together as it goes along, I would think. I’d be surprised if there were a script.”
Amen. Let it die.
