The bad-ass saxophone legend Clarence Clemons who’s been with Bruce Springsteen‘s E Street Band for over four decades recently suffered a stroke, according to the Telegraph. Clemons was most recently heard on two of Lady Gaga‘s singles, “Hair” and “The Edge Of Glory” off her album, Born This Way. He also joined her in a performance during the American Idol finale.
Gaga, who appeared on the French television show Taratata in Paris last night, urged her fans to help send positive thoughts to Clemons, tweeting today, “Little monsters, my very close friend +musician on The Edge of Glory, Clarence Clemons is very sick. Can we all make some get-well videos?”
Clemons is said to be in stable condition, following brain surgery. The musician has enjoyed a long career, recording a successful duet in 1985 with Jackson Browne.
