With Oprah Winfrey cheering her on from the audience, Lady Gaga stood on stage at the Harvard Graduate School of Education today (February 29th) to launch the Born This Way Foundation.

Gaga arrived at the university in Cambridge, Massachusetts amid the falling snow, making her first stop at Harvard Yard.  Then it was on to a meeting of the minds with Winfrey, Deepak Chopra and mom Cynthia Germanotta.  “If you have revolutionary potential, you must make the world a better place and use it,” Gaga said.  “This is about transformative change in culture.”

Keeping in mind all the elements she sang about in her single, “Born This Way,” Gaga created the foundation to foster bravery, acceptance and love across the human race.  “The goal is to challenge meanness and cruelty by inspiring young people to create a support system in their respective communities,” she added, according to Reuters.
