Kristen Stewart and Simon Baker took to the podium today (November 1st) at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where they got the ball rolling for this year’s Golden Globe Awards.

On behalf of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the stars announced that Jodie Foster is this year’s recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award.  Foster, who co-starred with Stewart in Panic Room, will be the youngest person to receive the award.  Past recipients include Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg and Barbra Streisand.

“This is a special moment for me,” Stewart said about making the announcement, according to E! News. “She’s been really important in my life for a long time.”

Stewart, who spent Halloween with Robert Pattinson at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery last night, wore Bec & Bridge‘s “Luna” grey shift with Burberry heels.  Thanks to Red Carpet Fashion Awards for identifying the outfit.

The 70th Annual Golden Globes, co-hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will air Sunday, January 13th.
