Kristen Stewart left Robert Pattinson‘s apartment in London this morning (November 21st) wearing sunglasses and surrounded by an entourage. Bella and Edward awoke this morning to great news regarding The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1‘s opening weekend.
According to Reuters, the third installment grossed $139.5 million domestically, putting it just behind New Moon‘s opening weekend, which grossed $142.8 million. Worlwide, Breaking Dawn made $283.5 million, and insiders are confident that it will continue to see success in the coming weeks.
Summit’s president of domestic distribution told The Wrap yesterday, “There’s a definite interest in wanting to continue to see the series,” he said. “The fact that our audience is aging up a little bit, the impulse to get out and see it on the first weekend isn’t necessarily there the way it has been. To me, that means that the holdover should be much better.”
