Kris Humphries doesn’t mind if you boo him on the court, FYI. The New Jersey Nets forward sees it as a way to pump himself up while scoring points for his team. “People were talking crazy last year,” Humphries told The Record (via Us Weekly). “There might be a little bit more this year, but to me, it’s motivation.”
On December 21st at Madison Square Garden, Humphries was relentlessly hassled by fans while playing the Knicks. “They want to have a reason to say something, so you have to try to not give them that reason,” Humphries added. “For me, it makes it a hostile environment and it’s kind of fun to play in that environment.”
Even during Monday night’s game against the Washington Wizards, people were all riled up about Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband.
Nets coach Avery Johnson can’t figure out why everyone’s in a twist about his player. “I’m trying to figure it out — what did he do?” Johnson asked. “I’m serious. Maybe because I don’t follow reality TV. I don’t know all the ins and outs of it, but it’s pretty hilarious to me. I don’t know if they even know why they’re booing him.”
