Saturday was a busy day for the Kardashian sisters who launched a jewelry line, celebrated Kourtney Kardashian‘s 31st birthday in Vegas and tried not to offend the Armenian community.
April 24 was the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide during and after World War I and when Kourtney, whose birthday was actually April 18, announced she was hosting a birthday a pool party at Wet Republic in Las Vegas it sparked criticism. The girls have defended their actions and tried to balance the day with respect and fun. Khloe and Kim posted tweets of remembrance and the girls dedicated their Armenian-inspired jewelry line to the Genocide victims. They launched the line at at the Nordstrom at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, where so many people showed that the fire marshal came as well, and then hopped on a plane for Vegas.
At Wet Republic they walked the red carpet, Kim in a black Proenza Schouler jumper, L’Wren jewels and Robert Rodriguez heels and Kourtney flashing a bikini under a cover up. But don’t let that cover up mislead you. “My sister weighs less than I do, and she just had a baby — so that’s kind of fascinating to me!” Kim, 29, told UsMagazine.com.
