I’m always wondering what Kim Kardashian’s seemingly daily photoshoots lead to. I pretty much assumed not much, until she went naked for Harper’s Bazaar. Then Kim’s tweeted a pic from a recent shoot with Allure where she holds up a cat by the scruff on it’s neck along with the words “Pic from my shoot yesterday…good kitty cat!”
Enter PETA, ASPCA, and many disturbed Twitter followers. PETA argued that it’s a mistake to think that since a mother cat picks up her kittens this way “a hand under the rump” isn’t necessary and ASPCA worries her handling will lead to others’ mishandling. Fans were just blatantly turned off.
Kim, who enjoyed a cruise in Australia today, took to her blog and defended herself writing “Rest assured, the owner and vet were on set and showed me how to pick him up. The cat was not harmed in any way and is perfectly fine! I love animals and would never do anything to harm animals.” I want to believe her but something about that photo just feels uncomfortable.
