Kim Kardashian And Usher Smell Up The Red Carpet At The Fifi Awards

Yes, there are awards for fragrances and, being that having a fragrance has become an essential part of acting and singing, there were celebs-a-plenty at the 2010 Fifi Awards in New York yesterday (June 10).

Usher was honored as the Celebrity Fragrance of the year and he admitted “I do somewhat get high on my own supply,” when Fox correspondent Anne Craig asked him if he wears his own scent. “If I don’t wear it no one else will.” When she asked him his favorite scent on a woman he said, “Her natural essence if you know what I mean.” Ew. I hope he just means the smell of her skin.

Halle Berry won a Women’s Popular Appear for Halle by Halle Berry, so I guess she has that over Jennifer Lopez (no sign of either attending last night), and the other celeb perfume winner was Patrick Dempsey 2 (that’s the best name they could come up with?) won the Fragrance of the Year, Men’s Private Label/Direct Sell honor. Michael Kors, creator of seven perfumes, received the Fifi Hall of Fame award and proved on the red carpet that he knows his own perfume. I think they should have tested presenter Kim Kardashian and asked her what which is her own, but since she lathered herself in it, everything probably smells like her scent. By the way I like her light make-up, no?

See the full list of winners and the red carpet interviews after the jump! (Favorite line: “I can smell you from here Dick.”)
