Kim, who was spotted leaving Laser Away Beauty Salon in Santa Monica yesterday (January 24) has donated $50 000 to a charity that provides suicide prevention services.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star gave the money to The Trevor Project – which supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender teenagers – after raising the sum while working on the trading floor of the global financial services company Cantor Fitzgerald in September 2011.

She added on her blog: “The firm lost more than 600 employees in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre in 2001 and on the 10th anniversary of the attacks, they donated all revenues from their trades to charities around the world. I was honored to take part!”

A number of celebrities – Glee’s Kevin McHale, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe and singer-songwriter Adam Lambert – have leant their support to the charity.

Last month, Lady Gaga was given a Hero Award by the company at their annual Trevor Live event. When accepting the honor, she said: “This means more to me than any Grammy I could ever win.”
