Kim Kardashian has infiltrated almost every facet of pop culture, but she’s making plans to foray into politics.
“I decided I’m going to run for the mayor of Glendale,” Kim told Khloe Kardashian in a clip from Khloe & Lamar. ”It’s going to be in, like, five years.” Because of Glendale’s heavy Armenian population, Kardashian figures she’d be in good company and well-prepared to run sh*t, but first there are a few hoops to jump through.
One has to have proof of residence at least 90 days before the election and be a registered voter, according to the Los Angeles Times. Kardashian will need to collect 100 signatures to endorse her for an elected position.
Glendale city spokesman Tom Lorenz wants to make one thing clear though. ”No. 1, you don’t run for mayor in the city of Glendale,” Lorenz explained to the Times. “It is not an elected position in the city. The elected positions are five City Council people, a city clerk and treasurer.”
