Kid Rock Bringing Southern Rock Back For Those Who Missed It

ABC News reports that Southern rock (think “Sweet Home Alabama”, whiskey, hogs, and women with butterfly tattoos riding their boyfriends’ shoulders during concerts and exposing their goods) is making a comeback due to Waffle House patron Kid Rock’s collaboration with Lynyrd Skynyrd on the new hillbilly anthem “All Summer Long.”

Rock, and the band (wait, is the dude himself named that?) performed the song this morning on Good Morning America.

By the way? The song is a mash-up of “Sweet Home” and Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London”. Yeah. He mashed two songs together. And didn’t even do it well. Way to make an effort. Ugh. Zevon should plod out of his grave and punch Rock in his rat head!
