Kennedy Center Honors: The Obamas Get Festive
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama rubbed elbows with Hollywood celebrities at the 32nd Kennedy Center Honors. Five stars–Bruce Springsteen, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, pianist and composer Dave Brubeck and singer Grace Bumbry were recognized for their distinguished careers in the arts.
President Obama said during his tribute to Bruce Springsteen, “On a day like this, I remember, I’m the president, but he’s ‘The Boss.'” The two-hour special is set to air December 29 on CBS.
Also attending the event was a very bookish-looking Ben Stiller, wearing a studios pair of thick, black glasses. Katie Couric was stunning in a deep red strapless gown and Sharon Stone rocked the ice princess look in a fur-trimmed white jacket, blond bob and ice-blue eyes. I like it. Not so much a cougar, as a snow leopard.
