Now I don’t know about you, but if anyone commemorated my birthday with a cake (that looks suspiciously like red velvet), I’d be pretty happy. And I definitely wouldn’t respond by telling said cake-giver to “#EatMyShit.”

Unfortunately, this was the case for Fashion Police panelist/ungrateful Scorpio Kelly Osbourne, who got into what I will officially label The Most Trivial Twitter Tiff Ever with Lady Gaga.

You see, on Sunday (October 27, 2013) the “Applause” singer purchased a birthday cake for Kelly – except instead of sending it to the birthday girl, Gaga handed it to Sharon Osbourne during her performance on the U.K.’s X Factor. Okay, so Gaga missed the cake’s destination by an entire hemisphere, but isn’t it the thought that counts?

Not to Kelly, who continued the semi-feud that began when she described Lady Gaga as a “butterface” in 2009. It was the comment that launched an open letter from the singer, who criticized Kelly’s job as one “rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another.” Mama Osbourne shot back, calling Gaga a “bully,” and then the world just rolled its eyes at everyone involved.

But yesterday, all the bitterness of years past reemerged with this tweet:

Lady Gaga explained, “I didn’t know it was your B-day until this afternoon. Meant as a peace offering. Happy Birthday.”

The tasty peace offering was swiftly rejected, as Osbourne posted a photo of the cake with the caption “#EatMyShit #Hypocrisy.” She then tweeted, “#StefaniStopIt!” Lady Gaga later responded to the deluge of hateful, presumably pro-cake and anti-Kelly comments that followed:

That’s right, peace, not war, ladies! Eat delicious cake, not shit! I mean, where are your priorities? Who’s going to dig into all that red velvet while you two (well, mostly Kelly) are busy bickering?

So what do you think, is Kelly Osbourne in the wrong here, or was Lady Gaga being a little shady? Let us know whose side you’re on in the comments!
