Wearing a cupcake-printed latex dress, Katy Perry treated her fans to a free concert in New York last night to celebrate the launch of Microsoft’s new Windows Phone, which hit shelves on November 8.
The Teenage Dream pop star performed a mix of old and new hits, including “Hot N Cold,” “I Kissed a Girl” and the new anti-bullying track, “Firework,” which Katy introduced with a shout-out to Microsoft’s new mobile device. “I hope you’ve requested ["Firework"] and downloaded it off your new Windows Phone,” Katy exclaimed to screaming, dancing fans at Roseland Ballroom.
Katy concluded the concert with a neon light-filled performance of “Peacock” and a hopping rendition of “California Gurls, saying with a wink: “I’m no longer scared to sing this song in New York City.” With that, confetti rained down on the crowd and a pair of jumbo-sized beach balls began bouncing through the ballroom.
