Katie Holmes Tries To Sounds Normal To NY Mag

Yeahhh, I’m still not buying it.

New York Magazine cover girl Katie Holmes attempted to sell us readers on her happy life with Tom Cruise.  I don’t mean to sound like a wise-ass, but their union just doesn’t sit well with me.  I recall Holmes’ interview back in 2005 with W Magazine (Jennifer Connelly was bumped from the cover to make room for Robot Holmes).  The entire article was take over by Holmes’ Scientology chaperone.  I was creeped out.

So now, NY Mag took a crack at attempting to unveil any sense of normalcy in Holmes.  This time around, Holmes seems a little more relaxed, but spends most of the interview gushing about her child (which she has every right to do, but her idea of raising Suri Cruise is to treat her like an adult-a Scientology method and one that is lost on me).

I grew up the youngest of five, so there were a lot of hand-me-downs
that I would sort of change up. And Suri and I do that now with her
clothes. Or rather, she does it. She says, ‘I want this sleeve cut,’
and it’s like, ‘Okay, we’ll cut it.’ She picks out all of her own
clothes and has since she was 1½. Tom and I went to the Met ball a
couple of years ago, and I had this beautiful red gown and these
royal-blue shoes that I wasn’t planning on wearing, but Suri made me
put them on and so I was like, ‘Okay, I trust you.'”

Ok, then.  Holmes has a few projects coming up: The Romantics (which is like The Big Chill meets Rachel Getting Married, according to the mag), The Extra Man, Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark and The Son Of No One.
