Kate Moss Replaced By Unknown

We are assuming that the reason that H&M chose Ms. Boscono was because she has never heard of cocaine.

Swedish clothing chain Hennes & Mauritz said it will use Italian model Mariacarla Boscono to help launch a new collection, replacing Britain’s Kate Moss, who was dropped after reports of her cocaine use.

Boscono will appear in TV commercials for a limited collection designed by Stella McCartney that goes on sale in November, H&M spokeswoman Liv Asarnoj said.

However, posters and newspaper ads for the collection will not feature any model, Asarnoj said. “We have chosen a graphical solution for those instead.”

A graphical solution for the print ads doesn’t speak much for the faith they have in the model as a draw to their product. We were thinking of writing this post in haiku form, hoping that Kate would derive some inspiration from it. But, we’ll leave the healing of Kate up to Pete Doherty.

She hasn’t heard of eating either. Give this girl a plate of pasta!

Mariacarla Boscano is hugely popular in the model world. If you go to Vogue magazine’s site and look for her, she’s been everywhere, in everyone’s runways for the last couple years.

My guess? They picked her because she doesn’t know how to eat – therefore perfectly imitating Kate’s cocaine-induced thinness.
