Kate Hudson Has Puzzled Us From Birth
When Kate Hudson was born, the doctors declared her a boy. But Goldie Hawn’s maternal instinct immediately kicked in and she insisted that baby Hudson was a she, not a he. Well, she was right. But Hawn wondered, how the heck did the doctors screw that one up? While on the red carpet at Elle’s “Women In Hollywood” event, Hawn recalled,
“I was lying there and they were slicing and dicing … all of a
sudden, out she comes and they say, ‘It’s a boy!’ And I was lying there
going, ‘No, it’s a girl! I knew it was a girl and I looked and them and
they said, ‘Oh, no…It’s a girl!’ And I thought what part of her
anatomy are you looking at to make a mistake like that?”
And apparently our dear Kate was originally going to be “Rebecca.” It wasn’t until Hawn was eight months preggers on an LA highway that she had a change of heart.
“I was going to name her Rebecca because it was biblical and romantic
and genteel and then all of a sudden, she punched me so hard in my you
know where – truly where the sun doesn’t shine,” Hawn said. “I said,
‘Oh, my God! This is a Kate. This isn’t a Rebecca. This is a Kate!”
That makes no sense.
Rebecca Kate is currently dating Muse’s frontman, Matt Bellany. The two were spotted passing through security at LAX yesterday.
