The world premiere of Titanic 3D drew stars from the 1997 blockbuster hit to the Royal Albert Hall tonight (March 27th) in London, England. Kate Winslet looked even prettier than she did all those years ago when she played sassy corset-wearing Rose DeWitt Bukater in a black Jenny Packham gown with crystal-encrusted shoulders and a cinching embellishment at the waist. Well done!
Winslet, who brought along beau Ned Rocknroll, embraced director James Cameron and co-star Billy Zane on the red carpet. Where Leonardo DiCaprio was is anybody’s guess.
BBC Radio 1′s Natalie Jamieson tweeted all sorts of tidbits from the red carpet, including this gem that made me tear up a little:”There has already been much crowd singing of My Heart Will Go On at the
#titanic 3D premiere. It may be a long night…” The 3D release is also timely in that it coincides with the upcoming 100th anniversary of the ship’s sinking on April 14th.
This particular tweet had me wondering if Madame Dion is going to show up for a rousing rendition of her kick-ass Titanic anthem: “Am inside about to see
#titanic 3D premiere There is a live orchestra here – no Celine as yet,” Jamieson wrote.
Also at the premiere: Bill Paxton, Bernard Hill, Francis Fisher, Suzy Amis and Rochelle Rose.
