Last night, Kate Upton attended the launch party for her second consecutive Sports Illustrated cover. Wearing a strapless maroon dress and studded heels, the Florida native posed for photos outside Crimson in New York City.
Upton was the center of attention at the do, but there were several models on either side of her vying for camera time.
Back to the gal of the hour, whose bikini shoot took place in Antarctica.
“When I came back, I was like losing hearing and eyesight because my body was shutting down, it was working so hard to keep me warm,” Upton told the Today show.
“It was freezing. I’m from Florida so, it wasn’t great for me. Obviously, the pictures now, it’s incredible. I can’t believe we were all able to accomplish that.”
SI‘s senior editor M.J. Day, who was with Upton during the six-day shoot, told Reuters, “We should name a passageway after her down there.”
“She braved six days in a bikini while we were head-to-toe in jackets … No one will ever accuse her of being a whiny model, ever.”
