Pregnant Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge, paid a visit this morning (April 23, 2013) to the Willows Primary School on the Wythenshawe estate in Manchester, England.
The expecting Duchess of Cambridge looked absolutely stunning in Erdem‘s ‘Sophia Floral Print’ silk dress with matching pumps. Such a very “Spring” look.
“Delighted to welcome HRH the Duchess of Cambridge & @JohnBishop100 to Willows Primary School,” tweeted Place2Be, the charity Kate recently became a patron of. “Launching our exciting new M-Pact plus project!”
The children are being helped by a program run by Action on Addiction and Place2Be, two of the charities of which the Duchess is Patron, and funded by her Royal Foundation and by Comic Relief.
The Duchess has put addiction at the very centre of her official duties, and said she had been struck by the “profound and deeply damaging impact” it has on children whose parents are addicts.
She said: “Addiction is a hugely complex and destructive disease and its impact can be simply devastating. All too often, lives and families can be shattered by it. Research has shown that children of those who are addicted are seven times more likely to have addiction problems themselves. They are also brought up surrounded by fear, instability and chaos.”
Before sitting down and talking with the students and teachers at the school, the duchess received a dog hamper for Lupo, her cocker spaniel.
How very sweet. But what the hell is a dog hamper?
