Kate Middleton Topless Photos Published By French Magazine Closer, The Royal Family Is Livid

French tabloid magazine Closer had the audacity to publish topless photos of Duchess Catherine from William and Kate’s private holiday in France.

A palace source revealed to People magazine stated, “We certainly feel a red line’s been crossed.” The source also said that the mood at the palace back home is “one of anger and disbelief.”

A statement from a St. James’s Palace spokesman says, “Their Royal Highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and totally unjustifiable manner.”

As the scandal broke, a composed and dignified Catherine managed to smile and laugh her way through a Diamond Jubilee tea party at the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.

She wore an ice blue lace dress by Alice Temperley, with her hair pulled back in a bun and held in place with pearl-headed pins.

The French magazine has taken a huge bashing on Twitter, as fans of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge took to the social networking site to express their outrage.

  1. Ultimately one has to wonder to what extent public titillation is being served by releasing naked images of the future Queen of England or whether one should except despite her title she is fair game given her status as a public figure? Either way the images are sure to cause heart ache within the royal family as it grapples with snafu after snafu and once again has to contend with the fact that the media will ultimately have its way. So much for the media’s right to free expression one may wonder….?

Seriously, how could anyone think this is a big deal, or think it shows the woman in a bad light. It perhaps means she s a but naive to sunbake topless, but, so what!
