A palace source revealed to People magazine stated, “We certainly feel a red line’s been crossed.” The source also said that the mood at the palace back home is “one of anger and disbelief.”
A statement from a St. James’s Palace spokesman says, “Their Royal Highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and totally unjustifiable manner.”
As the scandal broke, a composed and dignified Catherine managed to smile and laugh her way through a Diamond Jubilee tea party at the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.
She wore an ice blue lace dress by Alice Temperley, with her hair pulled back in a bun and held in place with pearl-headed pins.
The French magazine has taken a huge bashing on Twitter, as fans of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge took to the social networking site to express their outrage.
