Kate Middleton & Prince William Receive A Festive Greeting In Solomon Islands [PHOTOS]
The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge have gone tropical!
The duo hit the Solomon Islands today where they were greeted in quite the festive fashion. According to reports, as soon as they exited the plane, the Duke & Duchess were greet by most of the population of the island as well “a group of raffia loin cloth-clad warriors dancing, chanting and carrying spears, bows and musical instruments.”
Duchess Catherine looked fabulous–as always–this time in a bright Jonathan Saunders dress paired with a more conservative Jane Taylor hat. Kate and Prince William were then escorted by a giant canoe car (yup, you read that correctly) to the local church where they partook in a Jubilee Thanksgiving service. Now, guess what Kate and Will wore to dinner that night?!?!
Tropical clothing! Kate looked stunning in a strapless floral number, a gift from a local shop. Even Will got in on the island theme wearing a baby blue Hawaiian shirt. Well, actually, in this case a Solomon Island shirt. Kate and Will were gracious and lovely as they dined with the Governor General and his wife.
So, I’m thinking that Kate needs to wear that dress at the next palace engagement. I’m sure the queen would LOVE it. Kate doesn’t seem to be letting her topless photo scandal get her down. She’s got too much class for that. And that, ladies and gents, is why we love her.
