Kate Middleton Presents AT BBC Event Looking Divine In McQueen [PHOTOS]

The royal family cheers on cousin Zara Phillips.
Good on her!   The Duchess of Cambridge, still feeling a bit wobbly due to acute morning sickness, insisted on sticking to a commitment tonight that topped out a summer she won’t soon forget.

As Team GB’s ambassador, Catherine put on a brave face for BBC’s Sports Personality of The Year Awards tonight in London.  Though she said not a word while presenting, all eyes were on the DoC as she chatted with David Beckham and other athletes on stage.

Her Royal Highness wore Alexander McQueen’s Bell Sleeve floor-length gown in bottle green, according to What Kate Wore, which contrasted marvelously against her trademark locks.  My friend Anna confirmed that Catherine wore the same Kiki McDonough drop earrings we saw throughout HRH’s more formal appearances this summer.

Photos of Catherine were quite hard to come by from tonight’s event, so I took the liberty of sharing Twitpics taken by Sky News royal reporter Paul Harrison

Prince William is currently up at RAF Valley in Wales making up flight hours that he missed due to a grueling royal schedule that forced him to miss work.  A decision about his future with the RAF will be announced in the new year.

As far as Christmas goes, the Duke and Duchess have to decided whether to spend the holidays at Sandringham or at the Middleton’s home in Berkshire.   The Daily Mail’s Rebecca English reports that an announcement will be made in the next few days regarding their plans.

Christmas at Sandringham means several outfit changes per day, formal meals and a walk to church on Christmas Day, followed by a walkabout to greet well-wishers.  Catherine may not feel up to it, which is why spending the day with her parents in Berkshire might be a more likely option.  William will, of course, join her either way.

Might I say that the hair has never looked better?
