Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge returned to the polo field Sunday (May 13th) a setting she’d been photographed at as a commoner the past eight or so years.
This time around, the former Kate Middleton attended the two-day Audi Challenge Cup at Cowarth Park in Ascot, where both Princes William and Harry competed in the charity polo match. This year marked the cup’s 10th anniversary, which has raised over $2.25 million for William and Harry’s various charities.
Now, let’s get down to the brass tacks: Catherine’s outfit. Love. LOVE LOVE LOVE. A fitting choice for a day of polo and handing out awards to fellow royals. According to our friends over at What Kate Wore (eagle eyes, I tell you), Catherine wore Libelula’s “Rebecca” dress in mermaid blue and brown petal print with Stuart Weitzman‘s “Minx” espadrilles ($398). Much prefer these to her LK Bennett wedges.
Another high-profile guest made an appearance at Cowarth Park, and pretty much stole the attention from Catherine. Lupo, the wonder dog pranced around leashless and even stole a moment with Harry, who nuzzled the little pup.
Catch a video fo the Audi Polo Challenge, attended also by Tom Hardy, Jesse Eisenberg, Rhys Ifans, Chris O’Dowd and Gemma Arterton. ”It’s so shocking to meet the royal family today,” Eisenberg said. ”It’s like meeting the president.”
