Kate And William Hold Hands During A Scottish Stroll [PHOTOS]
Are Wills and Kate the cutest?
Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took a stroll through Holyrood Park in Edinburgh Scotland after a good old time at Zara Phillips’ wedding this weekend. William and Catherine, along with other members of the royal family, stayed at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for the festivities, which included a private ceremony at Canongate Kirk (the palace is Queen Elizabeth II’s official residence while in Scotland) William, wearing glasses and a crewneck heather purple sweater (probs cashmere) held Kate’s hand as they walked through the park. You two. I can’t. Too much.
Though William’s cousin denied any such thing today, the Daily Mail reports that Wills sang karaoke to Bon Jovi’s “Living On A Prayer” during the reception. What’s even more endearing about the heir and his wife? They flew economy back to their Anglesey home in Wales. According to the Mail, William and Kate flew the thrifty Flybe airlines to Manchester, which does not include a first class cabin. Even cuter? Prince Harry took Easy Jet back to London (holler to my study abroad peeps) Here’s why:
“News of the thrifty Royals will no doubt be welcome among taxpayers – millions of whom are struggling to make ends meet themselves with rising food and fuel prices as well as cuts to services. During the recession the Queen urged her family to show restraint in the recession and to avoid overt displays of extravagance.”
The Queen took a helicopter from Holyroodhouse to her summer home in Balmoral after the wedding ceremony Saturday, signifying that it was time for the younger ones to “let down their hair,” according to the Daily Express royal correspondent, Richard Palmer.
