Spotted: The Duchess Of Cambridge (Well, since we’re in Scotland, The Countess of Strathearn) recycling her green Diane Von Furstenberg “Maja” dress at Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall‘s pre-wedding party on the Brittania, docked in Edinburgh Scotland. Catherine wore this very same dress to the July 8th reception at the British Consulate-General’s home in Los Angeles. Members of the royal family, including Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Anne, and Princess Beatrice were spotted boarding the yacht to toast the 13th-in-line’s impending nuptials.
Brittania was Her Majesty The Queen‘s yacht, decommissioned in 1997 after being launched in 1953. Prince Charles, Prince Of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales took their honeymoon aboard the Brittania in 1981. Fun Fact: Prince Charles named Zara. “The baby made a rather sudden and positive arrival,” said Princess Anne, according to The Sun. “My brother thought Zara [a Greek name meaning 'bright as the dawn'] was an appropriate name.” Another fun fact: Tindall’s nose looks crooked because it’s suffered many a break on the rugby field. So many, in fact, that he just didn’t bother to fix it after awhile.
Earlier in the day, Phillips and Tindall went through rehearsals at Canongate Kirk where they will be married tomorrow along with other members of her family, including big brother Peter and his wife Autumn. A reception will follow at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, a gift from The Queen (the party, not the palace).
PS-Check out a video of Zara and Prince William raising hell at Prince Harry’s christening back in 1984 below. Little children with British accents = Downright silly.
Royalty is awesome.
