I was personally hoping that we’d see some real sparks fly, or maybe a fight to the death, but no. Kanye West guested on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live to iron out their feud, and that is just what they did.
Kanye didn’t apologies for his Twitter tirade against the host – during which he claimed Jimmy’s “face looks crazy” – but he did admit he took all his anger at the media in general out on him, saying “we kind of took it back to high school”. See the full interview below.
Kanye also self-aggrandized in his usual manner, saying: “I’m a creative genius, and there’s no other way to word it. I know you’re not supposed to say that about yourself. I say things the wrong way a lot of times, but the intention is always positive.
“I’m just here to make good music and make people feel good when they hear my music.
“When I did that interview, I was really vocal about a lot of things I had been dealing with over the last 10 years, when I had been put in the classification as just a celebrity.”
West added that he disapproved of the way paparazzi treated him and his family, and issued a warning: “Don’t try to antagonize me, because it’s not safe for you in this zoo, you know? Never think that I’m not from Chicago for one second.”
