Julia Roberts’ Thoughts On Social Media, ‘It Doesn’t Help Anyone’s Cause’

Julia Roberts Cover Of Marie Claire

It’s rare that celebs these days look their age.

When you see Julia Roberts on the December cover of Marie Claire, you will understand what I’m talking about. Roberts is 46 but she doesn’t look it! In the magazine, Julia talks about her career, motherhood and what we all can’t seem to live without, social media.

Roberts and I live by the same code, basically, if it’s meant to be, it will be. ”The things that are correct for me will come to me at the time that I am interested in them and have the capacity, the understanding, to do them.”.

Julia says that winning awards is a different kind of thrill for her these days– her definition of joy just isn’t the same as it used to be. I’ve won an award for best speller in the second grade…does that count?

In the magazine interview, Roberts talks about how being a mother brings her so much happiness. She has 3 kids with husband Danny Moder– twins Hazel and Finn (9) and Henry (6).

When asked about social media she said that she doesn’t overwhelm herself with things like Facebook, Twitter, etc., etc. she just doesn’t think it’s helping anyone’s cause (she’s got a point here).

I must admit though, Instagram is my thing. I can careless about the others. “It’s kind of like cotton candy,” Julia says about social media. ”It looks so appealing and you just can’t resist getting in there, and then you just end up with sticky fingers and it lasted an instant.”

Roberts doesn’t google herself either! Like other celebs do…not saying any names (cough, cough, North West’s mom). Besides, we all know that the internet is a safe place for haters. Who cares what people think anyways?!
