Jude Law’s Humanitarian Side

Using his fame to do some good, British actor Jude Law took his second trip to Afghanistan to help celebrate the seventh annual International Day of Peace. Instituted by the United Nations, this global ceasefire took place yesterday on Sept. 21 providing some time for aid workers to provide food deliveries and vaccinations to those in need.

As an ambassador for the Peace One Day organization, Jude told press at the event, “What we hope to do…is remind all parties that it is happening and see then what happens through negotiations.”

The fashion-forward actor premiered his documentary at Cannes–the movie he made with film producer Jeremy Gilley called The Day After Peace. The film covers ten years with the grand finale being last year’s Day of Peace.
