Josh Duhamel on the set of Fire with Fire is talking about his more current film Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon. The film stars many other big names including leading man Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Tyrese Gibson, and Patrick Dempsey. Josh had plenty to say about the blockbuster:
“It is big, but big doesn’t always mean better,” Duhamel said in a recent interview provided by DreamWorks Pictures. “What I love that he did about this is that they kept the story very linear, very human. It’s funny, it’s darker than the other two, which I like. A little bit more grown up.”
He adds, “You marry that with these insane action sequences and it’s I think everything you want to see when you go to a movie. I just think that Michael Bay and the guys at ILM [George Lucas' motion picture visual effects company, which did work on the film] and all the people involved in making this film did an unbelievable job. “
The films plot surrounds the Apollo 11 landing in 1969, but the twist is what the mission really discovered. While that gives you a taste of what is to come, the rest I will leave you to find for yourself.
An estimated 25,000-30,000 people came to watch the stunts being filmed in Chicago and Josh compared the scene to a live-action show. It certainly feels like a watcher to me and with rumored news regarding the film’s veterans it might be the last shot to see such a film on the big screen.
