Johnny Depp Steals Hearts In ‘Public Enemies’

June 19th, 2009 // 4 Comments

Taking on the role of infamous bank robber John Dillinger, Johnny Depp explains how he perceived the professional criminal in order to bring some pathos to his character in Public Enemies.

“On some level there was a sort of a Robin Hood in John Dillinger and he used that. Dillinger was extremely savvy for a guy who basically came up from nowhere. He knew that his love for the people and the people’s love for him would work in his favor,” Johnny told the Associated Press at the premier for the film, which also stars Christian Bale and Marion Cotillard.

Johnny was decked out for the event in typical style, a jacket-less three-piece suit, sunglasses and shaggy hair, while Christian Bale opted for a more buttoned-up look on the red carpet.

And French actress Marion Cotillard was sweet in a strapless, frilly pink summer dress. Utterly arresting, all of them.

  1. like, DUH...

    “jacketless”?

do you guys even look at the pictures you post with these stories?

it’s no wonder your readership and comments are down so much.

They’re not there just for Johnny, Christian is not bad himself and is a way better actor

Johnny rules! He is a good actor and a nice man. Unlike Christian “mediocre actor” Bale.

like, DUH, the comments on this website are always like this. People don’t seem to comment much which I find suprising because it posts so many stories then other blogs. Then you go over to IDONTLIKEYOUINTHATWAY and they only post about 2 or 3 new stories a day and so many people comment on that site. I think it’s because the guy who writes on there tries to be ‘controversial’ when commenting on the stories he posts.

Anyway, the cast of this movie is beautiful. I’ll go see it for that reason alone (and because of the fact that they are all good actors/actresses).
