Joe Has Morals Among His Whips and Handcuffs

June 22nd, 2007 // 1 Comment

Joe Corre, designer of Agent Provocateur, is a power player in the fashion world. With his mother being who she is (Vivienne Westwood), Joe and his wife were destined for fame. The lingerie giant crosses boundaries and has earned him an English honor of “MBE,” making him one of the royal honorary artists. But Joe refuses to accept the honor from the Prime Minister.

“To receive this MBE as an honor, it would mean for me that I have to accept the prime minister as someone capable of giving honors, in fact a honorable man, which I cannot do in my heart- wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are key factors in my decision.”

His snub of Blair, he stressed, has nothing to do with the Queen. To count her as a client would be an honor for Corre.

Oval Office poodles get no love from Corre, it seems. Tony Blair is a disgrace.
