As if there wasn’t enough to love about Jennifer Lawrence, she goes ahead and gives us a few more reasons to draw hearts all over her face.
Lawrence attended yesterday’s Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, then popped over to The Hollywood Reporter Nominees’ Night 2013 at Spago in Beverly Hills.
This is Lawrence’s second Oscar nomination; Her first was in 2011 for Winter’s Bone.
“It’s very calm at my house. Nobody in my family has fully absorbed it,” Lawrence said of this year’s Best Actress nod for Silver Linings Playbook. ”I can talk about other things than myself, which is great.
”And then the night of the Oscars, everybody just gets wasted and has a blast.”
Before her first go at the Oscars, Lawrence chowed down on a Philly cheesesteak and fries, which really didn’t seem to ruin the effect of her red Calvin Klein dress. Still, Lawrence is going another route this time.
“Last time was comfort. This year I’m like, ‘Suck it up. Wear a corset.’ I’m going to go for fashion this time.
”Eating normally calms me down. I remember before the Oscars I was wearing that skin-tight dress and I ate a Philly cheese steak and fries and was like, ‘This is definitely going to help.’ Which it didn’t because I had to double my Spanx.”
Best Actress nominee Jessica Chastain flew in from New York for the event.
“I’ve heard so much, what a great year it is for women in cinema, women in film, but to be honest, in my opinion, I believe a great year for women in film is just a great year for film,” a Givenchy-clad Chastain said.
