Jennifer Lawrence sat down with (and posed for) Teen Vogue to talk about her en fuego career for the May issue. So far this year she’s scored a Best Actress nomination for her role in Winter’s Bone, and landed the oh-so-coveted role of Katniss in the upcoming The Hunger Games.
The Kentucky-born actress graduated high school early at 14 so that she could move to New York and get on with the acting bug. She lists The Big Lebowski as her favorite film and admits to be somewhat of a square. Lawrence told Teen Vogue, “”I didn’t sneak out or drink. Once I told my parents to ground me because I was going to a party with alcohol. It’s kind of disgusting.”
Lawrence also appears in the upcoming X Men: First Class as Raven Darkholme/Mystique, a role originated by Rebecca Romijn. She filmed with the rest of the cast in London for five months, telling the mag “I had a blast. I was living in London for five months, and the whole cast . . . we all legitimately love each other. We got addicted to hanging out.”
