Jennifer Lawrence Cuddles With Liam Hemsworth For ‘The Hunger Games’, Traumatized By Childhood Fat Remarks
Words that should never be said to Jennifer Lawrence, “diet.”
The Oscar-winning actress recently opened up about childhood traumas associated with diets and weight-loss in the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK.
Jennifer has mentioned in the past how she is considered a fat actress in Hollywood, and apparently all of this has been going on since she was a kid. Jennifer told the magazine, “I was young. It was just the kind of shit that actresses have to go through. Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight.”
“They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet. It was just that. [Someone brought it up recently.] They thought that because of the way my career had gone, it wouldn’t still hurt me. That somehow, after I won an Oscar, I’m above it all. ‘You really still care about that?’ Yeah. I was a little girl. I was hurt. It doesn’t matter what accolades you get. I know it’ll never happen to me again. If anybody even tries to whisper the word ‘diet,’ I’m like, ‘You can go fuck yourself.'”
Oh Jennifer, just giving us another reason to love you. Girl ain’t gonna take no crap from no one. Luckily she’s got Liam Hemsworth by her side to make her feel better if the trauma sets in again. The duo was looking positively adorable as they cuddled for the camera on the set of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
