Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Norman Reedus and ‘The Walking Dead’ Cast Hit Up New York Comic-Con

Jeffrey Dean Morgan was joined by Steven Yeun, Ross Marquand, Norman Reedus, Chris Hardwick, Michael Cudlitz, Danai Gurira, Gale Ann Hurd and Sonequa Martin at the AMC presents The Walking Dead at New York Comic-Con at The Theater at Madison Square Garden this past Saturday (October 8, 2016) in New York City.

Who is ready for some more Negan? Morgan’s character only appeared near the end of the final episode of last season, but he is going to be featured prominently this fall. According to Morgan, Negan has the tenacity to do some grandstanding with the ability to mix charm and fear together.

“He’s a bit of a showman. This world is his stage. You can call it cocky but we all watched Rick get cocky. As much charisma as Negan has, there is also a big element of fear. I think a lot of his followers follow him for fear of getting an iron to their face or worse.”

Dean went on, “I’ve played some dastardly motherfuckers but none of them hold a candle to Negan,” Morgan says, before adding that Negan’s followers are “scared shitless” of the man but also have a layer of respect for him.
